WHEN
SHOULD I USE REDDOC?
REDDOC provides medical advice and management for the patients of all its member
practices outside normal surgery working hours and operates at the following
times:

(Unless patients are informed of special arrangements
by the practice for unusual or extra holiday periods.) |
REDDOC has been set up to provide patients
with the medical care necessary to treat conditions that require urgent
help or treatment that cannot wait until a patient's own doctor's surgery
is open. REDDOC should not be used to
provide treatment for routine, recurrent or non-urgent medical requirements. REDDOC can accept calls from patients
who belong to any of its member practices and also from patients who are
temporary residents or who require immediately necessary treatment whilst
they are travelling through the area. Patients who are registered with local
GP practices that are not members of REDDOC cannot be accepted for treatment.
